Generic Timelines

I have a Visio drawing that uses the Timeline shapes. So far, I haven't been
able to figure out how to put a generic time interval on a timeline. Every
shape I drop wants a date or time. Is there any way of specifying an
interval like "Day 1", "1st Hour", etc?
