Generic Workforce

Hi guys, need some help wiht project have an assignment on project and
we have 8 workers to allocate over many taks, however all workers can do
any task and as many works as possible reduces task duration.

Naturally we are looking for smallest project duration.

I guess what I would like to do is set up a generic workers and have
project allocate them as such so I do not have to manually assign them.

Hi actionman26,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

Yes, just give your 8 generic resources a generic name like Workers, and
change in the Resource Sheet their Max Units to 800%. Now assign the
appropriate number of Workers to each task and then level. Project will
assign accordingly, but it cannot assign members of the Workers by name -
it's one or the other - generic or individuals.
