Geographical Map Chart Template of the USA?

Hello, Please help.

-I need a United States Geographical map chart template to plot basic data (ie: # of company affiliates by state, etc)into each state and possibly modify the colors for each state. I have spent several hours every day this week searching without any luck.

Quality is a must and... free? Please help me if you have a lead. Thank you for your time.
