German-English Conversion

Hello,

I have a Template that was Created in German Version of Word (it does have
some Macros but very Little). If I try to Open this Template in an English
Version of Word then it takes a Very Long time compared to the Time it
takes to open in an German Versionof Word. Any Solution for this?
I'm Using Office 97 in both the Versions

Hi Ssr,

If you then save it (File/Save As) in the English version of Word, close
Word, then open Word and the template again, is it faster the second time?

If yes, then the slowness you're seeing is because Word is having to convert
things (like built-in style names and field codes).

No It takes the same amount of Time as Before even if I save it as suggested
by you !
