Get a word Synonyms the simple way

C

Hello,
In MS-word it is very simple to get any word synonyms you just right-click a
word and here it and here it is all the available synonyms for that word at
your fingertip.
Now is this easy way available in OneNote?
If not I would say, since I have started using it and from what I read and
hear about OneNote it is easy and reliable to use. If so why this simple but
yet important (at least to me) not made so?

PS.
I am aware that I get the word synonyms in OneNote but it is made in a very
long and cruel way

Unfortunately I don't know any easy way to get the same thing you have in
Word. Good feature request for the next version.

Thank you for your reply,

I must say that this small thing, but it is these small features that build
up the big thing.

In MS-Word I just right-click a work and point at synonyms and a list appear.
But in MS-OneNote it is made difficult to users and a real annoying
interface, I must say this is counterproductive. Beside other drawbacks in
MS-OneNote that I have noticed which are not relevant to this post.

After all the product description state that, this is a productivity
application! Is it?

Once again thanks

Well, to be fair when I'm taking notes (OneNote's primary purpose) I rarely
concern myself with synonyms. That's more for creating finished documents,
which is Word's dominion.

I agree that it would be a useful feature, but I can certainly see why it
wasn't prioritized.

Just a point out of fairness
"OneNote is a handy laptop application"

It is A Handy tool (or application) for notebook users (like me), and I
would presume that some of the drawbacks are due to speeding up (developer
to) the lunch it, and it is new...
And again I think it will be developed for farther use.

Question,,, Where can a user forward his or her suggestion to MS?

To some extent that is true. OneNote 2003 was developed rather quickly, from
scratch, and so basic functionality was prioritized. For OneNote 2007 quite
a bit more functionality was added, but resources are limited so they
couldn't do absolutely everything they wanted. As with all software, the
next version will go even further and include more features.

I can’t agree more...

May I just add extra point that I missed to mention, it is the notebook
users or put in other word the laptop user friendly (handy) application, you
would agree that some of MS applications -including office applications- are
designed for desktop computer users. OneNote – for example – as a partially
developed application possessed this minor mobility concept, but mind you it
is not fully clear to the developers, I think they – the developers – should
emphasize on this concept along with the other drawback points which users
mentioned.

The place for bug reporting and posting suggestions is:
https://connect.microsoft.com/onenote

Your point with using synonyms IMO is a very valid one.
Please posted it in Connect and drop a link to your suggestion in this
thread.
We could then go to vote for the suggestion.

Thanks Rainald Taesler for the link,

(Maybe) I never thought of forwarding any feedback related to MS Products,
but this is an exceptional case.

I’ll proceed, however you mentioned . . .

Are you refereeing to this particular thread?
(I don’t know because I didn’t attempt this before!)

Thanks again.

PS
Did you know that the printing panel also need to be reviewed thoroughly it
lacking a lot of options, i.e. page view!

You're welcome.

And you can be sure that the developers team will not only read
everything posted in there.
It's ways different from usual beta forums.

Yes, I think that it may best be placed here.

Yes, would be fine.
But why not use the "pageview" (icon the standard toolbar) and print
from there?
