Get Data from source safe

Hello there

I've formated new computer,
Installed windows xp SP1,
Installed Office 2003 SP1,

Is there a way to get last vertion from source safe?

Follow this stages
1. Install Access (probably did with office)
2. Instal SS on the coputer
3. Install office developer, that will put source safe in Access menu.
4. Open Access, now in tools you should have source safe, select create new
data base from source safe, select your data base, and source safe will
create a DB with the last version.

The Create new source safe is working

But afterword when i choose Add Database To SOurce Safe it doesn't do
anything. No error and the database isn't added

Do you have any idea what can cause it?

Mybe, check the permission the user have in source safe, check mybe the login
name changed.

Hi Ofer,

I recently deployed our source code to Visual SourceSafe here at our
company. Here are some tips that I found useful:

(1) Install Visual SourceSafe on your computer.
(2) Intall the Visual Studio 6 SP6 (available free from MS) on your computer
(this is necessary even if you don't have Visual Studio installed).
(3) Install the Visual SourceSafe plug-in for Access (if you don't have the
Access Developer edition).
(4) Make sure that the default database type under Tools->Options is set to
2002-2003 and not the default 2000.

Before doing steps 2 and 4, I found that I was getting errors and that after
trying to add the database, nothing would happen and it would add the
database.

Everything is working fine for me now.
