Get Data from User-Level Secured Database

I have two databases each secured with user-level security and separate .mdw
files. I am also using Access 2002-2003.

Is it possible to retrieve a recordset from one of the databases using VBA
and a username and password setup strictly for this purpose?

If so, how?

If not, should the "source" database be setup as a password-secured database
(without user-level security)?
