get error message "problem copying" when copying word doc to CD

Copying word 07 doc saved in 97-03 format to CD-RW, getting error message box
problem copying - windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this
file. What do you want windows to do? There is a properity review of the
document then retry or cancel buttons. Is there any fix or settings that I'm
missing here?
