Get error when try to use help in any Office 2007 program

If anyone knows what to do without fully uninstalling and then installing
Office 2007 again, please let me know.

I get an error box in all Office programs when i invoke Help- it says:

The Setup Controller has encountered a problem during install. Please reveiw
the log files for further information about the error."

When I click OK, Office installer pops up but ends with:

"There are no help topics that match your request."

Any hints on how to correct this would be greatly appreciated. I have
instlaled all sorts of third party Office 2007 software and really do not
want to uninstall Office et al and then install Office and all the 3rd party
SW again.
