get event from host application and change Macro dynamically

I want to use my application trigger Word to change Macro dynamically.
Is it possibe? Could you give me any hint of where I should start of? Maybe
I need to make a host application software and then... Any idea or input
would be very much appreciated.

Please try to describe it more clearly. Tell us what you are trying to

I get an assignment for changing MS Word font from software interface
instead through MS Word manual. For example, in my application software, I
check if the font color button is pressed and then I should change MS Word
fond color from my software.

You can easily do that through Visual Basic for Applications code
(VBA). Here's a newsgroup devoted to using VBA in Word:

you go to that URL, then search in that group on "font", or "color", or
somesuch, you should find what you need.
