Get External Data and Hyperlinks

I retrieve some data from eg SQL-Server. One of the cells contains a
hyperlink to an extranet-page using the formula
=HYPERLINK("<PageName>";"DisplayName").
After the refresh the formula is visible in the cell and not the
displayName. When I hit F2 + Return, the link appears and is clickable.
But since this is an automatic job, with a whole bunch of records it's not
possible to do this everyday for every-record.
How can this be solved automatically?
