Get hold of BuiltInProperties without open the document.

I want to get hold of some BuiltInProperties or Variables
in a Document without open it.
Is it possible?

The properties yes, the variables no. There's a free application you can
download from Microsoft that retrieves the properties of Office documents
without opening them.
