get PP slide show to continue looping after action button used

In a looping slide show that runs continuously, after pushing an action
button the first time, the second use of the button takes you to the correct
slide in the show, but the lopping action stops. How do I fix this so the
show continues looping from that slide? The first action button use works
fine the looping continues, after that the action stops.

When you go back to a slide through the action button, PowerPoint remembers
that the animation has been played and not repeat it again.

One way is to add a dummy slide before the actual slide with animations.
Have the dummy slide set to Advance automatically after 00:00 in the Slide
Transition, then hyperlink to the dummy slide instead.
