Get rid of Heading 4 - Heading 9 in "available styles" panel

Marko Pinteric

I am creating my own .dot document. I will never use Heading 4 -
Heading 9 styles, however I can neither delete nor hide them from
"available styles" panel. Is this possible to do any way? How can one
edit .dot document directly?

Thank you for your answers,

Best regards,

Marko

G'day Marko Pinteric <[email protected]>,

Create a new template from a virginal Normal.dot and never set those
styles in the template.

Good idea.

But where can I get virginal normal.dot? (I do not want to reinstall
the whole office again.)

Close Word, find normal.dot and rename it. Restart Word. A new copy of
normal.dot is created by the program.
