get rid of Norton message about unsupported help in Office

I clicked help to repair word - a message appeared that Norton Anti virus
does not support this feature and said un-install then re-install - did not
say if this refered to Word or Norton!! I did both and now on start up or
on opening word I get a box saying Windows Installer is working, followed by
the same Norton message as above, this happens 3 times before it finally goes
away and I can get on - does anyone know how to stop this happening?
