I use chained installs to install Office 2003, VISO, Project, and some
others, and to also install SP3 after the Suite or Component is installed.
I use the CIW to setup things, but use setup.ini (and ohotfix.ini) to
provide some settings.
The regular install part presents a product description window with a blue
progress bar, but no Cancel or OK buttons (which is what I want), however,
when it chains over to ohotfix to do SP3 (I put ALL the SP3 files in here, so
that everything gets upgraded, not just the component I installed), I get the
same windows WITH a Cancel button, NOT desired.
There appears to be very little GUI configuration available in ohotfix.ini,
so, is there an undocumented way to do this?
My basic commandline to run any of these chained programs is:
setup.exe /qb-! /settings setup.ini
and, I realized the /qb-! is probably getting rid of the buttons in that
part of the chained install. How can I do the same in the ohotfix part?
Thanks!
