get rid of the paragraph symbols and dots between wordso

I cant get the paragraph symbols and the dots betrween my words to disappear
when I am replying or composing a letter.

Go to TOOLS|OPTIONS, under 'formatting options', remove the check marks from
the ones you don't want to see. Check the ones you do want. There is also a
show/hide toolbar button that looks like a paragraph mark that you can use to
toggle the settings
