Get rid of tracked changes and comments, once and for all

Get rid of tracked changes and comments, once and for all doesn't work as
expected. These change in ALL my document is really a pain. Is there a way to
trun them OFF and remove them from all my document ? I tried the steps in the
document offered in Word Help (listed in the subject) however, the accept
option was not available for whatever reason.
