Get Shape's Boundingbox

N

newbie

Hi,

I have many shapes that are grouped into a Master shape (each shape is on a different layer). I want to drop a Master shape onto a page, turn off all layers and then turn on a layer of my choice. So far so good, but when I try to get the bounding box of the visible shape, I get the bounding box of the grouped shape instead. Is there a way to get the bounding box of the visible shape without ungrouping the grouped shape? I am currently programming with C# but answers in any language would be appreciated. Thanks.
