Get Started Tab

Denis

I'm trying to use the "Get Started" add-in in both Word and Excel 2007. I'm
running XP. I have downloaded and installed both add-ins, apparently with no
trouble. But when I open Word and/or Excel, I can't find the tab anywhere.
What am I missing?

Hi Denis,

In Word, under Office Button=>Word Options=>Add-ins
see if the add-in is listed, but listed as either Inactive or disabled and use the [Go] button for the category to try to activate
it.

You may also need to check your setings in
Office Button=>Word Options=>Trust Center=>[Trust Center Settings]
to see if the add-in is allowed to run.

"Thanks, Bob - we;re almost there but not quite yet. The add-in does show up
in the Inactive list, but I can't add it. It's a COM add-in, and I went to
that pop-up. When I try to add it, I'm getting an error message under "Load
Behavior" - "Not loaded. A runtime error occurred during the loading of the
COM add-in."

What next?

Thanks,

Denis

I just d/loaded both separately and the TAB and functionality appears in
both Word and Excel with no probs.

I dowloaded them separately, first the Word addin then the Excel addin. I
made sure I had neither Application open when I did this.
