get the membership of groups

hallo
i need to know ,
a. in which groups a user - the actual user is a meber
b. is the actual user a member of a special group, perhaps named
infopathworker.

Is there a way to user the method getusersmebership without writing code-
how can a get the information ?

I get the message: dcannot find the Group (domain\groupname (Sharepoint
Group) - but it exists...
