Get the ` over e in Quebec

G

Glen

I cannot get the ` to appear of the e in Quebec. When I highlight it then the
e disappears when I hit the key with the symbol on it. In symbol's, inserting
it deletes the e...any suggestions or help?
Thank you.

At least four ways to do it if you have Word 2002 or later:
1. press Ctrl+` and then type an e to get an è.
2. type Alt+0232 (that is, press and hold the Alt key, type the
numbers 0232 from your numeric keypad, and release the Alt key).
3. type 00e8 and then press Alt+X.
4. choose the è symbol from the Insert | Symbol dialog.

And none of those would be correct, since what you want in Québec is é.

I doubt I'd know the answer, and how much effort I would put into
finding the answer to such an off-topic question would depend on
who he wanted to give the drug to. But I have no doubt that
certain newsgroup participants with a pathological need to answer
or re-answer every question would jump in and beat me to the punch.

All I know is that I've been castigated for being "unhelpful" when I just
answer the question that was asked.
