GetComputerName

I am trying to get the name of the computer THE
APPLICATION is running on, not the name of the computer
accessing the application. I tried GetComputerName for
the Windows API, but it does the latter. Any ideas? I
have created a backup procedure and what I need is a
solution to uniquely identify where an application has
been backed up to. Keep in mind that I can not use a
drive letter because it could be different for different
users. Thanks in advance.

sounds like your backup app ain't smart enough, surely it knows what its
doing and WHERE its doing it.

maybe try using UNC's instead.
