GETPIVOTDATA

If you use your curser and mouse to reference a cell
within a pivot table in creating a formula on another
worksheet, Excel automatically puts the "GETPIVOTDATA"
function in the formula. Is there a way to turn off this
feature? I have found that if "GETPIVOTDATA" is used in
a formula, you cannot copy the formula that you wrote.

You can choose Tools>Customize, and from the Data category on the
Commands tab, add the Generate GetPivotData command to one of your
toolbars. Use this button to toggle the feature on and off.

As an alternative, you can simply type an equal sign, and type the cell
reference, instead of clicking on the cell to reference it.
