Getting a 1606 error

Hello,
I am getting an error when a customer is in word and wants
to install the thesarus. I cant uninstall office or
repair it for I keep getting this error.
Here is the error:

Error 1606. Could not access network location.
%:LLUSERSPROFILE%\Application data\Microsoft\Data.

The funny thing is the ":" in the %:LLUSERPROFILE%. I
have seen an error like (Error 1606. Could not access
network location <Common Administrative Tools>.All users\.)
but the fix dosn't work. I just want to uninstall office
but I can't, any advice.
