Getting a date field to calculate a products total days in stock

I would like to see how long I have a product in
inventory, sitting there, since I bought it.

And didn't know if it was possible to have Acess
calculate the total number of days it is there since the
Purchase date.

I created a "Purchase date" field and a "days in stock"
field but don't know how to get them to function how I
need..

Any help is Appreciated.

Lose the "days in stock" field.

Instead, create a query into your table, and type this into the Field row:
DaysInStock: DateDiff("d", [Purchase date], Date())
