I have Outlook 2003 and Access 2003
Okay, so I see all these posts about how the date field is not available
when exporting from Outlook to an access .mdb file. You get all these other
rarely used fields (BCC, mileage, sensitivity, etc.), but for some reason
not the date the email was sent or received. By the way, I just cannot tell
you how ridiculous this seems to me.
So, I see that you CAN get this field when you use Access's Get External
Data and import from Outlook. HOWEVER, NOW I am missing the email address
fields for From and To; all I'm getting is the friendly name (ie. From will
have Joseph Smith instead of (e-mail address removed), because Joseph had set up
the friendly, or display name). I can see no options during the import to
add fields.
Can anyone tell me how I can get the To (EMAIL ADDRESS), From (EMAIL
ADDRESS), Subject, Body, and date into Access from an Outlook 2003 .pst
file?
PLEASE, I beg you, and thanks for taking the time.
