You cannot insert a 'live' hyperlink in Entourage; however, if you insert an
e-mail address, or a URL starting with http://, most e-mail clients should
automatically convert them to active hyperlinks. So even though the links
are not active when you compose your e-mail in Entourage, chances are quite
high they will be once your correspondent views the message in their mail
client.

Make sure you have the latest Entourage update, as that provides
improvements for hyperlinks in HTML messages. Download and install the
latest Office X update, which is 10.1.8. It's available from Microsoft.

If you send the message in HTML format, and have the updates applied, such
hyperlinks automatically have the <a> tag attached, so any HTML mail client
should make the links clickable. As for plain text, Michel is correct that
if you form the hyperlink in that way, chances are best that it will be
clickable on the receiving end.

Adding to previous comments....

When you compose a message the links do not appear active, but they are.
Just save the message as a draft and you will then see the active links.

Enclose the URL with < and > viz: <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/> so that
if the URL wraps over more than one line, it will still work when it gets
there. Don't forget to format with the http:// prefix.

If you are sending HTML messages and your recipient is in Outlook or Outlook
Express WINDOWS, they don't get Entourage's type of clickable links. If
that's the case, get

Make Hyperlinks <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>
