I am trying to figure out how to install BCM on a Server 2008 w/ SQL Server
2008 SP3. I have downloaded and tryied running
BusinessContactManager2007DatabaseTool.exe
I pick the option to create a new database, the default db server is
MSSQLSERVER, which if that is the default name for a standard install (which
I did last night) I am good. Then I leave the DB name as the standard:
MSSmallBusiness.
I click on Next and get an error message:
Cannot create a new database. The operation has been rolled back. Please
make sure the database service is running.
I have connected via SQL Server Management Studio and I check to make sure
that TCP/IP was turned on along with manually turning on named pipes, but it
still errors out. What am I doing wrong?
