Getting data out of a from, .dot

One of my clients has made a form in word. The user tabs to the unprotected
areas and enters data. Now they need to import this into a database. When we
do a Save As... And select options there is a radio button next to:
"Save data only for forms ( for current document only)

We select and save and it still has header information in the file not just
the data fields. So there is no way to import this into a database or even
open it with Excel.

Any suggestions?

I think you will find this a hell of a lot easier if you make the form in
Excel.

If you were using Word 2003 I might suggest using InfoPath to do it in XML,
but there is currently no indication that XML or InfoPath is going to be
available in the next version of Mac Word.

Sorry
