I had an old WRI word processing file with embedded sounds. They play fine
when double-clicked, but I wanted to see if I could get them un-embedded
from the file. I saved this out as a Word doc file, and then saved again as
an HTML file, which separated all the embedded files out on their own. The
sounds do play in the Word file, but not in the HTML file. The
sound files saved out with WMZ extensions. When I tried to double-click
these, I get media player with a skin I've never selected, and error message
saying the skin is invalid, and the sound file won't play. I did a bit of
Googling on WMZ files, and got the info that they are supposed to be sound
files compressed with a skin, and you should be able to "unzip" them and
separate the skin and sound files. I don't know if that's the case with
these files.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
