Getting errors while launching word 2003

Hi All,

I am using MS Office 2003 (Upgrade), over Office 2000. When ever i open word
2003 i am getting an error MS word has encountered an problem and needs to be
closed.
Appname: Winword.exe
Modname: msvcrt.dll

I am sucessfully running Word 2000 on the same computer after I started
encountering issues with Word 2003, ie while upgrading from Office 2000 i
didn't removed the prior versions.

I did used the MS KB article 259413

I have Uninstalled and Reinstalled Office 2-3 times, used the Windows
Installer Cleanup ALSO
I renamed the Office key in the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and reinstalled it
I used the support.dot also

The only time it works is as soon as you rename the Options key under the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Microsoft>Office>11.0>Word>Options.
but as soon as you reboot your computer the problem starts again

and help is greatly appreciated
