Frank,

I can create the form just fine. I can get it to pull and send data to a
database. However this is all locally. What i cant figure out is how to get
the data to be pulled/submitted to the databse once the form is published to
a sharepoint site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Frank,

I guess my question is how do i have to setup the data connection so
that it will work from a shrepoint site to a database? do i have to use SQl
or can i just use a jet 4.0 ole db connection....or do i need a web service
etc etc.....this is the aspect im unfamiliar with. Is there perhaps a step
by step tutorial on how to publish to a sharepoint and write to a database.
ALl the tuts i can find are for databse access across a shared network,
(which i can do just fine) but none allowing people offsite (outside the
network) submit data to the database.

ok i have succesffully created a form and published it to sharepoint with the
databse also residing on sharepoint. I have pointed the form to the database
via a //servername/share scheme. now whenever i try to query the databse i
get a JET OLE DB initialization info popup asking for username and password
for DB_write_permisison However if i leave the username and password
blank i get an invalid path error.

any ideas?
