Getting Formulas to calculate

I just got Windows XP & Office XP and I transfered my
excel files over from 98. I have changed some formulas in
an existing spreadsheet and they will not calculate
properly. For example, when I change a formula and fill
down I have to go to each individual cell and click on the
formula in the task bar and then hit enter or it will not
calculate properly. I then recreated the spreadsheet in a
new sheet and when I make changes I have run into the same
problem.

Any help?

Try to to do an edit>replace and replace = with =,
that has helped me many times

Tools=>Options=>Calculate tab, select Automatic instead of Manual

To force a calculation use Ctrl+Alt+F9 or in xl2002 you can also do
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F9 I believe.
