Getting in and out of video segments

I have 5 short video segments in my PP 2004 presentation. When any
particular video file (inserted as "Movie from File") is finished
playing, it "reverts", or, "rewinds" back to the first frame, even
though the "rewind movie when done playing" option is NOT checked.
What I'd like to have happen is that the movie would sit on the last
frame (or fade to black) until I advance to the next slide. Trying to
solve the problem with animation effects doesn't help... the movie
still reverts to the first frame... then runs the animation effect. Am
I missing something obvious?

How about if you set the poster frame to a black frame? Would that do
the trick for you? You can use the Movie toolbar to set the poster frame.
