Getting into Admin.

My ex-husband is the administrator on the computer that I have. He has a
password on it, but does not remember it. Is there a way to get into the
system and get access to the admin. without knowing that password by
overriding something? I am unable to do anything on the computer b/c I am not
under the admin.
