getting long footnote to appear on one page in Word 2007

Hello:

I have a fairly long footnote and half of it appears on the following page.
I want the whole footnote to appear on that page. Is there anything I can
do. right now, the footnote corresponds to text that is in the bottom third
of the page. Thanks for your input.

Jay:

That article is moderately dense. I was looking for more of a quick fix (I
am very short on time). Is there any way you could break it down some? I
have Word 2007. thanks.

- If the footnote consists of more than one paragraph, select them all.
- Right-click in the footnote and choose Paragraph.
- Go to the Line & Page Break tab of the dialog and check "Keep lines
together". Click OK.
- If there are more than one paragraph, select all except the last one, go
back to the same dialog, and check "Keep with next".

Don't complain about the previous page being too short -- that's an
unavoidable consequence of forcing the entire footnote and its reference
point to the next page.
