getting messaging interface error and cannot send/receive emails

I apparently have a corrupted email that I was trying to send. I now get an
error message stating, "The messaging interface has returned an unknown
error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook." I've restarted Outlook.
I've run the repair program from my Office XP Small Business. I've
un-installed and re-installed all of the Office XP programs, and I still have
the same error message popping up, and I can't send/receive emails. HELP!!!
