getting my email on microsoft outlook97

I resently got verizon dsl now I can't get email on my old
site of microsoft outlook. when I click on that Icon a
box comes up that says: postoffice-------- OK
mailbox----------- offline
password---------- help
when I clicked on (Microsoft Outlook) before my mail would
come up. Now the box above opens What do I do

Remove the Microsoft Mail service from your profile and add the Internet
Mail service instead. You may need to download the Internet Mail Enhancement
Patch or a service pack. See
