Getting my template to generate a visio diagram using vba

I have a .vsd file with a macro that caould be executed to place a timeline
,interval and milestones on the document.
When I save this file as .vst and open from the template,my macro executes
but my milestones get overlapped and so are the intervals.
Can anybody suggest me as to what I should be doing in order to place these
shapes at the right places?

I don't see why, but seems something wrong.
You mentioned that you open your template.
Did you tryed to making new drawing from yout template
by double-clicking the file name of your template in your folder?
