getting Office for mac to work

Rachel

Hi,
I have downloaded the 2004 Office test drive and whenever I click on
the icon, I get the "buy now or rming me later" and no matter which one
I click on, I still can't get any application to appear.
I want to view this program before buying!
I also want to know the difference between the the Teacher/ student
edition and the standard edition?
Hope you can help.
Cheers.

I can't help with what might be wrong with your installation. However, the
only difference between the Student/Teacher and standard edition is the
license agreement. Both have the same applications with the same
functionality. The standard license lets you install on two machines, but
use only one at a time. The S/T edition allows simultaneous use of 3
installations.

From the info in your post it sounds like you may not have followed the
complete instructions for installing the Test Drive. Review the material at
the bottom of this web page;

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downlo...ffice2004.xml&secid=4&ssid=1&flgnosysreq=True

Also, before you install *any* purchased version of office, make sure you
follow the posted instructions for removing/uninstalling the Test Drive.
Instructions are at the very bottom of the same web page.
