Getting old and newer versions of FP in sync?

I asked the question of using FP 2002 to upgrade my site that was done years
back in PF 98.
Stefan kindly advised : “just publish all from you online site to your PC
to get them both in sync whenever you start working w/ a new versionâ€.
What does Stefan mean by this?
Note I have saved that old site on my old pc (with FP 98) and then
transferred it to the new pc (with FP 2002) recently.

You need to open the live/remote site in FP2002 and then publish it to your new computer. This
assumes that the live/remote site has the FP extensions.
