Hi,
Hopefully, this is the right newsgroup for this question ... please
re-direct me if need be.
I installed an Access program (an MDE connected to a backend MDB) on a new
laptop I just got. Unfortunately, I discovered that I implemented the wrong
version.
So I packaged up the right version and re-installed the MDE (the MDB was
fine). The MDE name is identical from version to version.
The application is started thru a desktop shortcut. When I double-click the
shortcut, however, I get the old MDE !
When I browse the folder containing the MDE, the correct one is in there!
And the shortcut's pointing to it.
Is Vista keeping a shadow copy of the old one around somewhere??
I tried re-booting the laptop (Vista Home Basic) but it's still finding the
prior version of the MDE.
Any clues??
