getting outlook acct. to accept and send e-mail through charter.n.

I am having a hard time setting up outlook for charter.net. I am unable to
receive or send e-mail in outlook. The top line doesn't even highlight.
Charter says that it is a Microsoft problem not theirs...they only work with
outlook express. (I have had two instances where their employees were
helpful and I was sucessfull, but my computer has crashed a few times so it
is a battle each time to find someone that is helpful through charter)

yes I just read it and tried this but it also wouldn't work. Also I'm still
unable to get the bar in outlook to highlight or be able to see the send
receive messages. Charter is getting all of the messages, they just aren't
being sent to me in outlook.
Thanks for you help....any more suggestions???

after playing around many times over with the outlook, I was able to get it
to work. I'm not really even sure what made it work, but it does. I get the
commands on the bar and everything. Thanks so much for your reply and
support.
