getting Outlook XP to run after installing it over Outlook 2003

I bought a Toshiba laptop and after 3 months, none of my
MS Office programs would work. Toshiba told me
(incorrectly) that I had only trial versions of Outlook.
So I installed Office XP from a disk I had. I got some
error messages and had to uninstall Office 2003. Now
Outlook XP won't allow me to respond to incoming emails.
What can I do now?

Doesn't let you respond in what way? Do you get an error message? Already
tried recreating your mail profile?

To create a new profile (do not copy it);
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles

To access your current pst-file in the new profile;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...

To set it as the default delivery location;
Tools-> E-mail Accounts...-> button Next-> use the dropdownlist below
