Getting "...isn't enough free memory ..."

I

idhee

When selecting a report for viewing and/or printing (which has been ok
for many months) am now getting an error report of "There isn't enough
free memory to update the display. Close unneeded programs and try
again."

The page navigation buttons do not show, but clicking over where they
should be works.

The database is under 5 Mb, the database is Access 97 running on a
Windows XP laptop with 512 Mb of RAM.

Does anyone know of a fix, please. I have tried searching the MS
Knowledge Base, but no joy thus far.

How much free space on the hard drive (specifically on whatever drive is
pointed to by the TEMP and TMP environment variables)?
