Getting rid of Personal Address book was stupid.

I previously had a Personal Address book of colleagues at work. This
constituted 75% of my email. I also had a Contact list of external
recipients. It was nice and elegant and it worked. By dropping Personal
Address book my Contacts are extremely cluttered and there was no usability
or value added by this.

Nothing was really dropped. The PAB was replaced by the Outlook Address
Book. You can still organize your Contacts however you wish into Contact
subfolders and have them appear in the Outlook Address Book.
