Getting the total of the records in a label

Hi all! Access 2003.

To help my users I decided do not show the default "navigation button" panel
at the bottom of the form. I replaced it with buttons placed in a better
place on the form. Unfortunately I can't replicate totally the textbox where
it is showed the "current record number of the total" [n of nn]. Or better,
with =[CurrentRecord] I have the first part of what I need but I don't find
how get the total of the records because between the properties/methods
provided by the Form object no one is suitable for my aim.
Thanks in advance for tips, advices and suggestions.
