Getting to the Newsgroup

Odd: depending on the PC I use the detailed list of topics
under, say, WORD, is not the same. More detailed in one
instance than the other, not same window appearance, ....
And I cannot find under one approach a posting I made in
the other. I noted the same thing with Excel. How come?
How to streamline (short of importing the exact URL from
the other PC?)

Instead of posting from the Microsoft Communities portal (you're probably
entering from the general NGs portal on one machine and the Office one on
the other), you can post directly to msnews.microsoft.com using an NNTP
newsreader such as Outlook Express. For instructions on setting this up, see
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/resources.htm#setupmsnews. This is ordinarily
much faster and more efficient than the Web portal, though at present there
are problems with the msnews servers that are causing delays.
