Getting toolbars to default "show"

Hello:

I use the reviewing toolbar on almost every document I open in Word. Is there a way to get the Reviewing Toolbar to "stay" as selected (active) as the default for all documents in Word? I used to be able to do this Windows version of Word, but haven't been able to figure it out for Word 2008 yet.

This has nothing to do with the oblong button at the upper right of each window in Mac OSX. It has to do, somehow I think, with the settings of the NORMAL document template.

The formatting toolbar stays, and is visible every time I open a document, but I can't get the reviewing toolbar to open every time. I have to select it every time I want to use it.

Thanks,

Darrell

Hi Darrell:

No. This is a changed function in Word 2008.

The Reviewing Toolbar will appear automatically if there are tracked changes
or comments in the document when it opens.

Otherwise, it will be hidden when the document opens.

Cheers
